Weight Loss Secret # 9 - Get a pedometer

Do you know how much exercise you did yesterday? You know how many calories you burned? Most people have no idea how many steps they have taken or how many extra calories that are burned on a given day. To lose weight you must burn more calories than you consume and many people underestimate the number of calories consumed and overestimate the number of minutes they exercised.

A pedometer or step counter is an easy way to monitor your physical activityand daily physical activity. They are available in most sports. Once, belt clip, belt or shoes every morning to the number of steps that occur before going to bed. This is my weight loss secret number 9

Most trainers recommend 10,000 steps a day, and if it was not very active, it may take a while 'to build it. I wear a pedometer every day for three years and when I started I was shocked to see,how many steps I was taking on a daily basis. I'm a very active person, the stairs instead of the elevator and walk, while on the phone. I was just recording 3,500 steps a day on my pedometer, so that was a complete shock to me!

Once the conscious decision to be more active, you can set a goal and work towards it. A pedometer measures not only the steps, it also serves as a reminder to takethese steps. After wearing one for a while 'you find ways to increase your business to achieve your goal, leaner and healthier.
