Thanking Your Special Doctor With Gifts

pedometer

We've all had to visit the doctor at some time in our lives. Thankfully for most of us our ailments are temporary and we will make a full recovery. However, a few of us do get bad news about either our own health or the health of a family member.

Rarely do we have to make life or death decisions in our lives but for doctors this is an everyday occurrence. If you have suffered a serious illness or a trauma you get to know your physicians and consultants really well, and your family doctor really does become part of your family, from the time you spend together.

They are always there for support and need to be strong when helping you through treatment processes, often it is their diagnosis and choice of treatment that will improve your health and in many cases save your life.

So how do you show your gratitude for their knowledge and organizational skills that got you the right treatment? Doctors and consultants alike love pens, they have pens in every pocket to make sure they can take notes when talking to you and their colleagues. A luxury pen, engraved with your thank you note, would be a very practical substitute to all those leaky pocket biros. Hospital consultants rarely sit still so a pedometer would be a useful gift for them.

Desk sculptures which are figurines or abstract shapes made of wood, metal or glass would also be a tasteful gift choice for a doctors consulting room, and they too can be engraved with thank you's.

If you have had surgery then a surgical bandanna would be a great gift for your surgeon, they come in a variety of colors, patterns and themes, cartoony and funny. The ward nurses that know the surgeon could help you pick the best one.

Even when you have chosen the gift it may not seem enough to really express your feelings. Express your feelings in the greeting card with the gift, as these words are the real gift to doctors.
